The Meteorological Department of India (IMD) released the forecast on Monday, according to which many parts of the country, including central, south and northeast India, may experience humid weather from April 26 to 30. The Meteorological Department said that on April 26, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning and strong winds at speeds of 30 to 40 km per hour from April 26 in some areas of Telangana, Kerala and Mahe (Puducherry).
Loo likely in Gujarat and coastal Odisha
According to IMD, lightning was reported on Monday at some places in the Gangetic plains of West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. The Meteorological Department said that heat wave is likely to occur in Gujarat and coastal Odisha during this period.
Strong winds in Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya
According to the IMD, on April 27, strong winds along with thunderstorms and lightning could occur in some areas of Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Kerala and Mahe. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rains in some parts of South Interior Karnataka and North Kerala on 28 April.
Chance of rain in Karnataka, Kerala
According to IMD, on April 30, there will be thunderstorms with lightning shines in Uttarakhand, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Kerala and Mahe. On the same day, heavy rains are likely over South Interior Karnataka and some areas of North Kerala.
