Sunny Deol saddened by the Red Fort incident amid farmer protests, said- there is no connection with Deep Sidhu

Protestors clashed between farmers and police at different places in the capital Delhi amid the Republic Day parade. A large number of protesters reached the Red Fort with tractors and entered the fort. The protesters waved their yellow flag from the ramparts of the Red Fort. Protesting farmers in ITO in the capital broke barricades with tractors. As the ruckus escalated, the police lathi-charged the farmers here. Meanwhile, MP and actor Sunny Deol from Gurdaspur tweeted on the case. Sunny Deol tweeted, ‘My heart is very sad to see what happened at the Red Fort today. I have already made it clear through Twitter on 6 December that I or my family have no connection with Deep Sidhu. Jai Hind.’

Who is Deep Sidhu? Actor Deep Sidhu has come under discussion due to hoisting the flag on the ramparts of the Red Fort. However, he has been the target of many people since this incident. Various claims are being made on them on social media. It was being told that Sidhu is associated with the United Kisan Morcha, but the Morcha has avoided this. At the same time, Deep describes himself as the cousin of Sunny Deol. He was with Sunny throughout his campaigning for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu has attacked Deep Sidhu. He said, ‘Sikhs for Justice are behind the fuss of today. Khalistani Deep Sidhu has conspired. The flag that was hoisted on the Red Fort was not a Sikh flag. Our religious flag is saffron, not yellow. Those who captured the Red Fort and caused uproar were Khalistani. The farmer was not involved in today’s nuisance. NIA should be investigated and whoever is behind it should be put in jail tonight.
