Facing the cases of ED and CBI, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram has been allowed by the Supreme Court to go abroad. The bench, headed by Supreme Court Justice Ashok Bhushan, allowed Karti to go abroad and asked him to deposit two crore rupees and give details of where he was going to go and where to stay.
The central government protested
Karti had sought permission to go abroad, which was opposed by the Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, presented by the Central Government, and said that last time when Karti Chidambaram went abroad, Rs 10 crore was deposited in the registry.

Permission was given earlier also
Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for Karti, said that Karti is an MP and it is not appropriate for him to make such a condition. Karti is an MP and is not going to run anywhere. The Supreme Court said that Karti Chidambaram should deposit these funds with the government bank and he was allowed to go abroad for six months. Earlier, Karthi was allowed to travel to the UK, US, France, Germany and Spain.
