Sushma’s family came from Pakistan
Sushma Swaraj was born on 4 February 1952 in Ambala Cantonment, Haryana. His father Hardev Sharma was a respected member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). His family was originally a resident of Dharampura area of Lahore which is now in Pakistan. Sushma joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) only in the 70s.
