Brajeshwari Temple is located in the city of Nagarkot, which is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India. It is believed that the left breast of the burning Goddess Sati fell on the land where today stands the beautiful Brijeshwari Temple, which is considered to be one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in India. The festival of Makar Sankranti is celebrated with great pomp in this temple. Ghee is applied to the idol of the goddess during this occasion and anointed with water 100 times.

This hill temple of Chamunda Devi, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, is situated on the banks of Baner River at a distance of about 10 kms towards West Palampur. It is one of the most revered religious places of Himachal. Chamundeshwari Devi is said to be one of the most powerful incarnations of Goddess Durga. The special festival of this temple is Navratri, where thousands of devotees come here to visit. The temple has carvings of scenes from Mahabharata and Ramayana, designed in traditional Himachali architecture. It is believed that Chamunda Devi temple came into existence during 1500s when Goddess Chamunda appeared in the dream of a local priest and the idol was asked to be installed at the place where the temple is now built.

Located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, Jwala Devi Temple is dedicated to Jwala Ji – a Hindu goddess who is depicted as eternal flames. One of the 52 Shaktipeeths in India, this temple is believed to be the place where the tongue of Goddess Sati fell, where the Jwala Devi temple is now located. It is believed that the goddess resides in the sacred flame of the temple, which miraculously burns day and night without any fuel. The flames represent the nine forms of Goddess Durga – Mahakali, Annapurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Vindhya Vasini, Mahalakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi. It is believed that all the wishes of the devotee who comes here and offers coconut are fulfilled.

The temple of Kaleshwar Mahadev is situated on the banks of river Beas, 10 km from Pragpur and 18 km from Nadaun. This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The main attraction of this temple is the lingam which is placed at a fairly ground level. It is famous for the holy Panchtirthi water. Pilgrims take a holy dip in Panchtirthi and the nearby Beas river on the day of Baisakhi.
