Skoda Kushaq (Skoda Kushak) SUV has been launched in India. The company has kept its initial ex-showroom price (Skoda Kushaq Price) in the Indian market at Rs 10.50 lakh, which goes up to Rs 17.60 lakh on its top end variant. 95 percent of this car is made in India. At the same time, its name Kushaq (Kushak) is derived from Sanskrit. It denotes a king or emperor. After the launch (Skoda Kushaq Launch), it has a direct and tough competition from SUV vehicles like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Renault Duster in its segment in the Indian market.
The production model of the Skoda Kushaq is very similar to the Vision IN concept. It has a Skoda Signature Style chrome-finished butterfly grille. It gets LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, and trapezoidal LED foglamps. LED taillamps have been given in its rear. It gets sporty 17-inch dual tone alloy wheels and dual-tone bumpers. However, its entry level and mid variants will only get 16-inch steel rims and 16-inch alloy wheels. It has LED taillights.
Skoda Kushaq has been launched in the Indian market with two petrol engines. These include 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder TSI and 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder TSI engines. Its 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI engine generates 113 bhp power and 175 Nm torque. At the same time, its 1.5-liter 4-cylinder TSI engine generates 148 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox has been given standard in both its engines. At the same time, there is an option of 6-speed AMT in its 1.0-litre TSI engine and 7-speed DSG in the 1.5-litre TSI engine.
Skoda Kushaq measures 4,225 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width and 1,612 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm and a ground clearance of 188 mm. It is the only car in this segment that has the highest wheelbase.
