The youth who threatened a Muslim shopkeeper on Diwali is still out of police custody. The accused youth has been identified as Naresh Kumar. Even 4 days after the FIR was registered, the police is still searching for him. A video threatening a Muslim shopkeeper for opening a biryani shop on Diwali went viral on social media.
‘Is this Jama Masjid…’
According to the police, the accused in the video is describing himself as Naresh Kumar Suryavanshi, a member of right-wing organization Bajrang Dal. In the video, the young man threatens the Muslim shopkeeper and says, what is this Jama Masjid, on whose behest he has opened this shop. This is the area of Hindus…no Muslim lives here. In the video, the young man threatens and says, it is our Diwali and you have come here to spoil the faith.

In the video, the young man can also be heard abusing the shopkeeper. In the case, the police said that after this the shop owner closed the shop. He told that this video was recorded on Thursday night around 9 pm and later put on social media. DCP North Sagar Singh Kalsi had said that after verifying the facts taking cognizance of the video, a case was registered at Burari police station under section 295A of IPC.
