A road in South Delhi’s Andrews Ganj will soon be named after the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The municipal body of the area has approved the proposal related to it. Officials gave this information on Thursday. Thursday is the 35th birthday of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on 14 June last year at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. The matter of his sudden death had been in discussion for a long time. His fans have remembered the actor through social media.

In September 2020, Congress councilor in South Delhi Municipal Corporation (ADMC), Abhishek Dutt proposed to name the road after actor Sushant Singh Rajput. A senior official said, “The SDMC House approved it in its meeting yesterday.” The councilor from Andrews Ganj in the BJP-led SDMC sent a proposal to the naming and re-naming committee of the civic body.

In a written proposal sent to the committee, Abhishek Dutt had said that a large number of people belonging to Bihar live in road number eight. The proposal claimed that ‘it is he who has sought to name a section between Andrews Ganj to Indira Camp as Sushant Singh Rajput Marg’. Abhishek Dutt had said that hence the road number 8 should be named after the actor.
