TMC’s troubles are not ending, now MP of Birbhum Shatabdi Roy has given signs of rebellion

As the Bengal Assembly elections are approaching, TMC’s difficulties appear to be increasing. Now TMC MP and actress Shatabdi Roy of Birbhum has indicated through a Facebook post that ‘some people in the party are trying to humiliate him’. She can also make a big decision about her political career, for this she has also set a time of 2 pm on 16 January.

Shatabdi said, ‘People ask me why I do not appear in party programs in Birbhum. How do I join when I don’t know their schedule? I think some people don’t want me to be there. ‘

Mamta gives importance
TMC sources say that after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Birbhum MPs have hardly appeared in any party program held in the district. People last saw him at CM Mamta Banerjee’s rally in Birbhum on 28 December. In this rally, however, Mamata Banerjee had given him enough importance and took his name in the rally many times.

This is the reason for resentment
But party sources say that since Shatabdi Roy has distributed the money of MP Development Fund to the public, local leaders are angry with him. The reason for the displeasure is that while doing so, he did not seek the opinion of the party while choosing developmental works.

MP from Birbhum since 2009
Shatabdi Rai contested the Lok Sabha elections from Birbhum on the TMC ticket in 2009 and won. She later won elections in 2014 and 2019 as well. Apart from this, she is also a known actress and director of Bengali cinema. He has received BJFA honors twice.
