Varun Gandhi shared the video of the person on Twitter. “Farmer Samodh Singh of Uttar Pradesh was making rounds of the mandis for the last 15 days to sell his paddy crop. If the paddy was not sold, he himself set fire to the crop in desperation. Where did this system bring the farmers? The time has come for us to rethink our agriculture policy.
Without making a direct attack, the BJP leader has criticized the government for the way it has dealt with agrarian issues. He has also expressed sympathy towards the farmers protesting against the three agricultural laws.
