Mumbai. Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi along with three people are accused of allegedly cheating him of Rs 1.55 crore. The fourth asked the actor to invest by promising good returns on investing in a program and film production company, but used the note for himself. The police gave this information on Friday.
The matter came to light on Sunday after Oberoi’s ‘chartered accountant’ filed a petition against the three persons against the alliance DC of Andheri East, an official said. According to the petition, a film producer comprising Triamal, the actor’s associate and they (the accused) asked Oberoi for a three-year investment in a program and film production company.
The official said the actor had invested Rs 1.55 crore in the project, but the investor diverted the capital for investment. The actor’s wife is also involved in the company, the official said.
