The Volkswagen Taigun of the mid-size SUV segment has been launched in India from Rs 10.50 lakh to Rs 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Taigun lineup, the Volkswagen Taigun Comfortline Manual variant has been launched at Rs 10.50 lakh, Volkswagen Taigun Highline Manual variant at Rs 12.80 lakh, Volkswagen Taigun Highline Automatic variant at Rs 14.10 lakh.

Volkswagen Taigun Topline Manual variant costs Rs 14.57 lakh, Volkswagen Taigun Topline Automatic variant costs Rs 15.91 lakh. At the same time, the price of Volkswagen Taigun Performance GT Manual variant is Rs 15 lakh and the price of Volkswagen Taigun Performance GT Plus Automatic variant is Rs 17.50 lakh.

Talking about the engine and power of the mid-size SUV Volkswagen Taigun, it has been offered with two petrol engines. Its 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine is capable of generating 115PS of power and 178Nm torque. At the same time, its 1.5 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine is capable of generating 150PS of power and 250Nm of torque. Volkswagen Tigun is mated to a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed torque converter and 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox options. The Taigun has been developed on the MQB A0 IN platform and is claimed to have been specially designed for Indian roads.
